For a dormer flat roof. I was going to pay some one but have now changed the dormer design so i feel abit more confident, I am now ding this task myself, ( everything in the loft extension will be mine good or bad)

Onto the question is there a better brand firestone etc I will use the thicker size available

Use Firestone epdm.
Whoever you get it from, ask for the 20yr warranty on the rubber only.
This doesnt gaurantee the installation.

use Firestone 060 sized membrane, it's commercial grade although 045 is very robust and will more than do for a dorma. Avenir roofing are good suppliers & will also offer advice (they're my suppliers).

.45 is ample for a dormer
