Hi all ,
I am in the process or replacing all the kitchen doors in the kitchen ( units are all hygena and in great condition).
The only problem I have is that the new door supplier do not supply coordinating end panels, or open end units.
I am hoping to use a 720 x 600 base unit door attached to a 300 base unit instead of the existing open end base unit.
Issues that I have are ;
The base unit door isn't the same height as the carcass side panel so does not reach the floor for supporting the unit.
Ideas I have thought of ;
reduce the width of the base unit by the thickness of the door (18mm I think!) and attach the door to the side of the unit(with the side panel in place). There will be plynth at the bottom to cover the exposed white bottom of the unit.
use the side panel (cut down) as the back of the unit so I can attach the door with the hinges to the back of the unit to make it an opening door, with a 300 door at the front (fixed so it does not open so it supports the front of the unit and the shelves etc.).
Any ideas,suggestions or experiences of this would be gratefully recieved.
Many Thanks in advance for any help
Glenn
