Vaillant boiler fan

We have a Vaillant TurboMax combination boiler & in the last few months, the fan keeps coming on when the heating if off. It kicks in & stays on for exactly two minutes each time which is several times a day & night. When we had our boiler serviced a few weeks back we mentioned it to the guy who said it was normal. So, my question is, is it normal & if not, what would be causing it. Your replies gratefully appreciated. thanks

Does it not even try to fire? Is the preheat turned off?

Perhaps a 'plumbing' issue is causing the flow switch to be knocked on

thanks for your reply. no, it doesn't try to fire. will get my hubby to check if the preheat is turned off. Its just odd as its only happened in the last few months & never happened before. quite odd
