Hope you can help as my kids are beginning to turn blue!

My boiler been working fine, went to turn the central heating on all the LED lights cam on as usual and the boiler lit, after about a minute the boiler cut off and the led under the Pilot light (looks like an egg timer) on the boiler started flashing. I checked the pressure all is well with that.

So reset it and turned on the hot water tap, again the boiler went through the correct motions, then made an almighty banging noise then turned itself off.

Any ideas? I've heard these boilers are prone to air locks is this the case? Could it be this or does anyone else have any suggestions.

What indicators on the boiler flash? what colour?

Sounds Like the pumps gone I am afraid mate the banging is it overheating
