Hi we have the s30 status code showing which I think means no send for heating from external controllers. We have a wired honeywell thermostat and 2 channel programmer. I have replaced both, and the PCB and the water sensor has been replaced. We fitted a new pump last year and that seems fine still. The boiler produces hot water and until I changed the water sensor the rads would get slightly warm when hot water was on, now always stone cold. I have reset the PCB to factory still s30 code but heating symbol does come on boiler display. Originally I thought perhaps it was a diverter valve but have been told the 618 is a system boiler not a combi and doesn't have a diverter valve (not sure if correct) Any ideas of what I can try please?

Hi, we have a hot water cylinder upstairs, but not sure what external zone valves are?

So, since the change, has the S30 now disappeared?

Yeah now shows S4 normal burner operation but only one rad is hot, closest one to cylinder

Just looked at photo, you have a 3 port valve. If just the heating is on and the hot water off or has been off a considerable amount of time, check the feed going to the cylinder, if hot then likely a failed valve.

Photo 3 is a 3 port y plan valve, when only heating on the small lever sho have no resistance if you try to move it.

Hi so the hot water has been on normally, and the heating off, and has been off since last winter so possibly valve has failed or stuck?

Yes thermostat on max. This is current position of 3 port valve
