When I turn up the thermostat the heating comes on, the radiators are then too hot to touch in just a very short amount of time even though the thermostat is on very low. The boiler then doesn't cut out when the thermostat is turned down and I have to manually turn it off.
Would this be a boiler or thermostat fault?
Thanks in advance to anybody who replies.
All the best, Paul.

Which thermostat are you refering to, the room stat or the boiler stat?

The boiler stat should be set for about 60 - 65C in the digital display.

Radiator temperature is governed by the boiler stat.

If you say by turning down the room thermostat the heating does not turn off then there is a problem.

The room stat controls the air temp of the rooms, the boiler stat controls how hot the rads feel to touch.

It sounds as if the room stat is faulty and you have the boiler stat set too high, re my last post.
