we need more info, to offer any help.
ie; age of boiler,how do you access the controls to the boiler,etc;
Are you sure there is a pilot,or is the ignition electronic.

Describe the control panel of the boiler - arrangement and colour of knobs, dials, lights, etc. - we should then be able to identify it.

It has three green knobs in a vertical row on the right hand side, on the left hand side there is a single knob which has a O and 1, above this there is 7 lights in a vertical row starting with the 0to1 switch which is illuminated green, the top light has a symbol with a flam with has a diagonal line through this is illuminated red. there is also a clock with you can change the time and date. bottom right hand corner of the control panel there is a clock with degrees celcius. hope this will help

This is a later model and has NO permanent pilot light! It lights the gas when it needs to !

If the water pressure is between 1 and 2 bar then you will probably need to call a CORGI engineer to fix it!

Green knobs....sounds like the early Turbomax VUW 242/282.

This doesn't have a pilot light. Are you saying that nothing happens when you try to use hot water or central heating?

when trying the hot water the light which has the flame above with the diagonal line across it stays red the second light in with the tap next to it turns orange/yellow but the water does not heath up. Unable to check central heating we recently moved into the property we do not have an instruction manual for the boiler.
Hope this tells you more

This is the burner lockout indicator. If alight it indicates a number of faults, including lack of water pressure . What pressure is shown on the pressure gauge (extreme right on control panel)?

The degre celcius colck says 50, the cloc with is bar is 0

the clock with is bar is 0
Here is your problem. You need to increase the pressure to about 1.0 Bar......now you're going to ask how you do that, yes?

Below the boiler, you should be able to see a silvery flexible connection loop that links the extreme right pipe with the next pipe to the left. At one or both ends of this you will find a valve which may have a plastic lever on it, or possibly a screwdriver slot. Can you see this and describe what you've got?

this has a flexpipe with a valve

I was hoping for a slightly more detailed description... never mind.

Open the valve (turn knob quarter turn) and you should hear water entering system. Continue with this until the pressure gauge shows about 1.0 bar. Then close the valve.

You can then reset the boiler controls by turning the lowest of the three green dials clockwise (so it points towards the flame symbol) briefly - it will spring back to the middle setting. The red lock-out light should go out and the boiler work normally.
