Valliant Turbomax 242E hot water problem

Hi Guys can anybody advise,

I have a Valliant Turbomax 242E the heating is fine firing normally but I have no hot water. The water neon light on the panel is not on. When I switch to just hot water the neon is still not on and when I turn the hot tap on still no hot water. Have spoken to Valliant and they say could be the Microswitch. Spoke to a plumber in the pub he said could be the diverter or flow switch gonna call out a heating engineer but I would like to know the problem so I don't get overcharged.
