Hi
I have a Vokera Linea 24 combi boiler which was installed a few years and it seem to work fine. During the summer months I select HW only as there is no need for central heating. What I have noticed in the morning is some of the radiators are warm. I would have thought there would be no heat of the radiators when HW only is selected or does the boiler still switch on CH from time to time.

Can anyone explain this?

1) the diverter valve is faulty - "letting by".

2) the boiler needs to dump some excess heat when the tap is turned off. Only place it can do that is the rads, and that you might notice. Normally it's only in one or two rads though.

Thanks for the speedy response. Sounds like it maybe No2 as it doesn't seem to happen often but explains what could be causing this. I was more curious about this rather than concerned.

Thanks again.
