Vokera Linea 28

Have a vokera linea 28. When the gas fire was removed for the backspace to be cleared the lady of the house opened the hot tap. This caused the boiler to lockout and it was then rendered useless. After a circuit board change it was fine. We have just had the old cast iron gas main replaced outside and the boiler locked out upon switch on after a purge etc. Boiler useless again. Why does it need a new board after a lockout on the flame failure? Are Vokera total ****?

Are you saying that it won't reset?

If so the mode selecter knob will have snapped off inside so when you turn it nothing actually happens.

Sorry not to mention, the gas fire is old and has no isolator so the gas had to go off. The bitch of the house needs shooting.

What is the fault code on the front showing?

How do you know the selecter knob is ok?

Have you taken the pcb cover off to have a look?

According to the book its showing flame failure.

Yes to removing pcb cover, the selector is doing its job when the boiler is working. At £122 a pop, boards are expensive.

A new board fitted and it works fine, New boards don't need resetting is that what your saying?

Done that. You mean a complete shut down of all circuits to ensure a complete reset. Tried (disconnected board) a wire across +, - and earth to ensure no capacitor effect.

This is a current woe.

I fit the previous pcb.

Boiler functioned fine until the recent lockout on again the flame failure.
