Hi,

I'm replacing my lights switchs in my house but I noticed that on the single switches there is a standard 10AX option and a 10AX Intermediate Switch option, what is the difference ?

One of the switchs I am replacing is in the downstairs hall and the light that one controls can also be turned on and off by a 2 gang switch on the upstairs landing. Is this what an intermediate switch is, does the single switch in the downstairs landing need to be one ?

Thanks

A landing light is typically two way - can be switched from two points.

An intermediate is used when you require the lights to be switched from THREE or MORE points.
