My partner is stripping off living room wallpaper with a steamer.
The problem is not getting it stripped to the bare wall. Any recommendations on how to do this effeciently? And does the wall be plastering once the paper is removed?

The steam or even just water will then penetrate and make the job much easier.
As for plastering, you will not know until you have uncovered it all so fingers crossed it will no be too bad for you.
