We have a Bosch Classixx 1200 washing machine which is about 8 years old, over the past few months the washing running times are getting longer and longer, nor will the machine take conditioner.

I have cleaned the powder drawer and the area which it sits in and have run the machine at 90° with bleach and soda to remove all residue.

Does anybody have any suggestions before I buy a new machine?

Thanks in advance

Is the element scaling up and taking longer to heat the water?

This should not affect cold rinsing parts of the cycle.

Thanks for your help, had new heating element about a year ago, use Calgon so should not be lime scale.
