water hammer ?

Hi please help i fitted a new bathroom suite and when the water shuts off to the toilet there is a loud banging i have tried draining the system this works for about a week then returns i fitted the new suite with plastic piping fitted copper and the house is mains fed no tank im guessing water hammer how do i stop this problem please

It could simply be that the pipe isn't clipped properly, you need to find out which one's banging and clip it if possible. Failing that, you can get a fitting called a Rester that stops hammer.
