The CT1 will work as if forms a flexible rubberised seal BUT it will look untidy and should have been properly carried out in the first place, really it's up to you, you paid for a job to be done and you will have to live with it
BTW, when I said `ah, it's vertical', I meant the slating not the pipe.
I don't really anyone can really answer that question for you really......the rubber boot was initially savaged, rather than cut (these things have a remarkable resistance to tearing) and the mastic 'repair' is comprehensively done.
Whether the mastic repair will be as good ten years down the road is anyone's guess!
