what is a waites style prefab house

A Waites house is labelled as defective under the housing defect act 1984. It has concrete panels on the external walls and the party wall. In order to make it mortgageeable significant work needs to be done to all walls incorporating the removal of all concrete elements. There are cheaper schemes but these do not make it mortgageeable with the leading high street lenders.

I spend my working life in these houses and have come across many builders that do not understand how these properties are made and yet their web sites tell a different story. Cowboy builders shows this!!! That company is now trading as Lifestyle and so please stay away from them.
