Just coming to the end of redoing the downstairs hall and installing a downstairs loo, final job left is to tile the floor but i don't know what sort of floor i have. It's a solid concrete floor with a smooth brown shinny surface. is this the damp proof membrane what is it called ? can i tile straight onto it with normal tile adhesive? Any advice much appreciated.
