Can someone advise on what sort of trunking/conduit to run CCTV cables in fixed to an outside wall for about 2m before a convenient place to bring inside.

Please provide links to screwfix etc

They can be just clipped on the surface if you want.

Are you wanting containment for aesthetic reasons, or to prevent tampering / vandalism?

What colour / material are your walls?

Hi,

I think it would indeed look nicer if they were behind some sort of trunking or containment system, but I am a little unsure what would be suitable.

I also think it would need to be waterproof as it is likely that there is going to have to be a join in the cables outside (where the lead from the camera runs out and the extension lead plugs in) before coming inside the house through the brick/block wall.

I would prefer black, is this range suitable?:

I presume I need some sort of elbow to change direction? and what do I use at the point where the cable come in the house?

20mm black round conduit fits the bill nicely, use glalvanised steel if you want tamper proof and have a run that is not covered by the cameras themselves.
