I live in a 4 bed house with one bathroom. I am refitting the bathroom and installing a new shower and a separate bath. To do this i would like to move the boiler and watertank.

I suggested that the boiler move to the kitchen and the megaflow into the cellar under the stairs. My builder has said that the megaflow cannot go in the basement and must move into the loft.

Does anyone know why this is? I can't work out if he is stringing me a line or not

The problem with the megaflo in a basement is the TPRV. The pipe work off this has to drop into a tundish, then terminate to a safe approved location, with a constant fall in the pipe work.

Do you have a drain or soil stack/waste pipe in the basement?
