Having had an Elektra Beckum ks250 for 15 years I'm going to treat myself to a modern saw with better capacity. The EB needed a tweak when I got it and never since. I always used a 60 t Freud blade and gave an accuarate and excellent finish.
I seem to have narrowed the choice to a Dewalt 717xps or Metabo kgs254 plus. The DW seems more readily available at competitive prices.
I've also considered a Makita ls1016l but it's really over budget.
I'd welcome any advice or experience.
