Whirlpool 6140/3

Hi, I have a Whirlpool 6140/3 that gets to the rinse cycle & then lights 4 & 5 start flashing. If I turn the dial back to the top hold in the start button then i can turn back to spin rinse & the machine continues. I have to sometimes set to spin again to get it to drain. Any answers greatfully accepted.

hiya, not sure if my old whirlpool machine was the same model, but we had the same problem. we called out the whirlpool people and the guy came and took out what looked like a ping pong ball from the bottom of the machine. (not exactly sure which bit, a pipe i think.) anyhow it solved the problem. not really a help i know but if u know someone who knows abit they might know what im on about.....

Thanks for that. Found a wire from an underwire bra trapped in the filter. Took it out & it's working again.
