I have a concrete post that is too long. I'm told the shorter one was out of stock and that the plan is to cut the bottom off before it is postcreted in, with a layer of postcrete on the bottom to protect the newly exposed rebar ends. I'm concerned that the postcrete is not waterproof and the rebar ends will corrode.
Should I insist on getting the correct size post (or digging a bigger hole) or will it be ok to cut the post down?
Thanks.
