Hello all,
Having just read a few threads on this forum about fitting kitchen units 'before' laying laminate flooring, I now see that this is the best way forward.
However, I have a long narrow kitchen and I'm a little concerned that my floating floor may not have enough weight to hold itself in place.
I was planning on laying engineered flooring (15-20mm thick) over a length of 4.5m and a width of 1.1m.
At one end of the kitchen is a small alcove (1.2m x 0.7m) which houses the fridge and the washing machine. I intend to extend the floor into this space as the floor will be visible through the gap between the appliances (approx 20cm).
Do you think that much flooring will hold steady?
Thanks
d.
