I have read somewhere that you should not use a wire brush on masonry before repainting.
However, the paint I had put on 2 years ago is coming off in sheets.
My coats, Sandtex, were on some sort of Masonry paint , both coats are coming off together.
Under them both , which has not come off, is a finish that looks almost like gloss paint and adhering well.
Should I use a wire brush on this 'gloss' to give a 'key' when I repaint with Sandtex ?
