I'm replacing a light fitting with three 50w spot bulbs with 3 individual down lighters.

Should i wire the individual down lighters together in series on a ring or on 3 individual spurs?

Each down lighter has a 50W bulb so the loading should be the same, but I'd like to know the correct way to wire them.

Can you point me at the relevant bit?

I've searched but can't find the info i'm after.

Unless you mean the FAQ in which case i found this:

That's the fella.

By the way. Lighting circuits are radial circuits, not rings. And you can only have a spur from a ring so (in this context) the words ring and spur do not apply

And wiring lights (or anything else) on a ring, or radial for that matter, is not wiring them in series

Thanks for your help. I'm now clear on what i need to do.

Its my terminology that's at fault. When i said in series i meant as per the diagram but now i know the correct terminology too :)
