wiring switches and isolators

Does it matter wiring the above which way supply and load are connected?. Ive seen on here that isolators should have the supply coming in the top - is this important?

It depends what you mean by a switch or isolator, there's got to be thousands to choose from. Generally it won't matter so long as the polarity is observed, with the exception of those marked supply and load terminals and those with neons.

wouldnt of thought it matters as you are probably just going to switch it off and on once every 5 years!, just wanted to check
