Hi All,

My first post! I'm not a pro but have been doing my own wiring for a few years. Always go for safety first which is why I thought I'd run it past you guys first.

I'm about to wire up 2 wall lights into a bedroom. They are actually more bedside lights and as such are only at bed height. I've decided to wire it from a fused spur wired into the ringmain as it's more convenient. The lights each have their own integrated switch.

My question is:
After I've wired the FCU to light1, to attach the two lights together, do I
1. have to connect light1 to light2 directly(as appears to be most common), or
2. can I run a second wire directly from the FCU to the second light?

Hope this makes sense

Thanks in advance

either method is fine its just a case of what is easier to wire

Thanks Plugwash. The connection straight to the FCU is easier so I'll go that way.

Many Thanks

I think that's rule number 12 in the OliveBranch handbook - 'Horizontals and Verticals only'. :)

Thanks for checking. Now I know why this site's as rated as it is.

Cheers Guys
