I'm planning on digging a pond with one or two "courses" of railway sleepers around the edge, and there may be some soil back filled against them.
The sleepers are probably going to be new (not reclaimed).
I'm not decided on hardwood or softwood.
I don't mind them weathering significantly over time, but I don't want them falling apart, or dripping with creosote in summer.
What preservatives are best for treating something like this.
