Hi, i hope someone can help. We are having a woodburner installed in a single storey extension with a flat roof. We are hoping to position the flue aprox 1.5mtrs from the main wall of the house but we are concerned about the downdraught from the main roof, how near the flue terminal would be to our bedroom window etc. The fitter seems a little vague when it comes to the regs!

It will need to be as high as the ridge or higher. It would be better to exit the flue as close to the existing building as possible and then fixings are easier.
A class 1 flue is required and will set you back a penny or two.
