Worcester Bosch conbi Fault

My Father in law has a fault with his Greenstar Condensing HE Combi.
The pilot light cuts out after 15 seconds. The Heat exchanger can be heard filling with water , but trickeling as though its not under pressure. The pressure Gauge shows in the green at 3 Bar. The display reed Fault code E4.
Any comments would be Welcome. Thanking you in advance

Are you sure it's E4 and not EA or FA?

there is no code like e4, checked your pipe outside

It is more likely to be a blocked condensate pipe as you would not hear the system water in the aweful situation of having air with it.

The pressure at 3 Bar is double the normal pressure. Let some out from a rad bleed point.

Who over pressurised the boiler?
