Hi. On wash yesterday, my washer started to make a horrendous noise when spinning.
After further looking, have noticed that the drum seems to have 'dropped' slightly. (when hand inside drum, you can push it upward). Also on rubber between drum edge and door seal, it seems to have worn down (as if the drum is rubbing against it).
Also when filter emptied, there is an awful lot of " ) " shaped rubber / plastic - think it is from the above mentioned rubber problem.
Any ideas of what has happened or what needs to be replaced and approx cost of parts / repair?
Oh, when you manually spin the drum, it seems smooth, firm, and not noisy. Sounds and feels the same as it always has done (I always spin the drum after wash to find them hidden socks stuck on top!)

Could be a broken spider or the bearings have failed.
Check the pulley on the rear hasn't come slack first.
Failing that my guess is the bearings.
No idea on prices, just know it's a big job.
