Refuses to start and indicates door not shut. Have accessed door interlock looks ok but can I short out leads (4 go to i/lock) to see if switch is the problem or pcb

Much better to measure the resistance between the terminals, there should be a pair that conduct with the switch actuated ( door closed) & another that conduct with the switch deactuated (door open). Easier to check with the switch removed. Door locks & switches often fail & is the most likely problem.
