Hiya - can I pick your brains? Have a fairly old but working Zanussi washing machine. 6 months ago it flooded when the top hose (dispenser to drum) came off drum. Put back on and fine until now and off it came again. Cleaned and dried it all. The plastic clips look fine as does the hose. If I push the drum down to its limit the hose will pull off. So....is the drum moving to far or is the old hose just hard?

Cheers

probaly a bit of both.

how are you securing it? a couple of cable ties work very well

Hiya - thanks for reply. I'm using the original plastic clips which are like jubilees but much thinner. Theres not much to attach hose to. I did think of plastic ties but clips looked ok. I'm suprised at how short the hose is compared to the possible drum movement. Each time it floods its a nightmare!

Do the hoses get less flexible with age (ie is it worth replacing)?

Cheers

maybe the drum is jigging about more if the springs or mountings have worn or broken

Thanks - that was my thought but springs and mountings up top look ok, I haven't managed to look inside yet to find out if there are any other bits that restrict movement.
