Zanussi WJS-1397W Drain Pump

Hi,

When I try to use our appliance, there's a loud sort of 'ill' noise which appears to be coming from the drain pump.

I've had a look and I can get to the drain pump, but I can't get it out to have a look at what may be caught in it.

There is one hose which I can remove, but the front of the pump looks like it dissapears into some sort of plastic extrusion which I can't get into.

One suggestion was to just give it a good tug to see if it comes out, but I didn't want to break anything.

Anyone got any thoughts?

I thought the drain pump was screwed to the side of the filter housing, but I may be wrong.

remove kickstip 3 screws hold the pump in .
