Hi I'm new here but I wonder if any one can help. I have to stop a knee opperated scrub basin tap from dripping what am I likely to encounter when I remove the large nut that holds the spring loaded knee opperated arm? Any help more than thankful.

It's the thought of it all springing apart that wories me.
