hi there, would appreciated being recommend a cheapish Cordless Drill , that comes with all parts and also has parts to do shelf on bathroom tiles. Be great to get a link for Uk delivery too!

What do i need to look out for to drill bathroom tiles, does any drill saying "Hammer Drill" mean its off limits or is there a setting?

Basically an accesorie kit for the dumb which says which one is masonary etc would be helpful

Would recommend the Bosch 18v combi screwfix have on offer at the moment it's a professional quality tool and will outlast any of the cheap DIY drills.

When drilling tiles DON'T use hammer action until you are through the tile,to start off you need break the glaze with the tip of the drill bit. Do this by pressing on hard with out the drill turning until you hear a crack then start drilling slowly keeping a slight pressure on.

One bit of advice is buy a decent set of masonry bits for drilling tiles

What? NO! You risk cracking the tiles. Get some tile bits, they will got through tiles in seconds, and are very unlikely to damage them. As soon as you are through the tile, then use masonary bits if its a block wall.

Tile bits:- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-...Y56O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336515383&sr=8-1 (these are cheap ones)

you need to know what your tiles are ideally, if they happen to be porcelain you need a special diamond bit. If not then the spade type phat boy linked to will do.

A normal masonary bit will only go through thin ceramic tiles.
