I may be being really stupid here but these two way timer light switches..

Say I wanted to put a timer light switch on the lights for the downstairs hall and upstairs landing, so I could have them come on at different times independently of each other

Would I need two timer switches, i.e. one for the hall switch and one for the landing switch, or would you be able to switch both from the one switch.

Thanks

Depends on the type of switch.
For the push (pneumatic ones) you'd have one at each position.
Some others (Elkay eg) you have one central timer module and retractive switches at each position.

If you have two sets of lights you want to control separately, with different on/off times, then you need two timers. Simples.
