I bought a 9 litre argon mix bottle a while back, and was talking to the bloke about oxy propane. Bit expensive for the use I'd have for it these days though.

Yep, that's the one! I tried altering the angle of the carbons with mine, but it made little difference......on the original set up I could get a beautiful electric flame curving away from the carbon tips, but now it just flashes across.
Maybe it's time for some more experiments!
