The very best appear to be Miele, which are also the most expensive.
Bosch and AEG are very good and reliable, they do a wide range. Usually the cheaper ones have fewer programmes, fewer flashing lights and fewer buttons. I would go for one of them. I think they are just as well made and share many of the parts. I find that only about 2 of the programmes get used, and the extra lights and buttons just add complexity without making them clean any better.
