baxi central heating fault

i have just returned from holiday, & low & behold my c/h system as packed up does anybody out there know how to help.
The problem is that when the system should come on the electricity supply trips out, i confess that i have not shut the system off before when going on holiday (& probably wont again).
If it helps i have a 10year old baxi solo wm 50/4 boiler.

Probably a faulty pump!

You could try powering it seperately.

tried powering seperately, still no good.
Besides if it was ok before switching off for holiday, what could happen to it while i was away?

Leaking main heat exchanger or pump, when left on this water dries up but if left off it leaks into the electrics

do you mean blows the fused outlet fuse or an rcd
