Joining Cooker Cable

Hi Ya chaps. I am putting in a new kitchen (slowly)

. I need to move the cooker and extend the cable. I don't wanna change the cable. I need to extend by about 4 foot. Is it ok to join cable.
Thanks for any help, may be back with more questions.
