hi all, was traulling the internet for ideas and came across this site, thought i'd post to see if anyone could help...
please see pics for current (messy!) pathway area.

i'm not bothered about changing the path part, it will do for now.
just want to cover up the horrible tarmac/concrete mess that somebody has done(was like that when we moved in).

was thinking of bordering off the path from the concrete stuff with sleepers or similar, then just filling it with gravel of some sort. but i have since seen how much sleepers cost and they look hard to cut!
so what can i use instead?

i cant afford muchmore than about £150 - £200 for the whole thing including some sort of gravel.

only thing is its on a slope, sao worried the gravel will all end up down hill.... just want a nice-ish area to put table/chairs/bbq etc!
all suggestions welcomed![/url]

Don't think your budget will cover what you want, you will need some decent weed fabric over the area before you put gravel down and you's need at least 2 inches, otherwise you'll juts get bald patches where you walk.

Also you could easily spend £200 on Sleepers alone!

I'd just do the fabric and chipping first then do the sleepers when you can afford too!
