Hi all,
i'm about to overboard my bathroom ceiling using Gyproc Moisture Resistant plasterboard. Before I do this I need to fix my head plates and was just after some advice...
(1) Should I screw the headplates over the old ceiling plasterboard OR remove plaster where the plates will go so they are direct to the joists \ noggins?
(2) Is there a recommended way to put the ceiling boards up 2400 x 1200, as i'll be on my own whilst doing it. Is it a good idea to make T shaped bars out of the timber to prop the boards up?
(3) Bit of a daft question but whats a good quick way to screw plasterboard to the frame. Do I need to drill pilot holes first? I'm sure i've seen a video of somebody using cordless drill and screwing straight through plasterboard?
thanks
