I have a Fiat Punto 60S R Reg, 1997. Whenever I try to turn the headlights on, only sidelights come on both sides, although the switch on the steering column stalk is turned to the headlight setting. I have taken the car to a fiat dealer, who think that it is unlikely there is a problem with the bulbs. They did however say that it could be either a bad connection to the lights, or a fault within the column stalk. I personally don't think that the stalk is faulty as beforehand, one headlight worked as normal, while the other did not, suggesting that the stalk was still working. Any help or suggestions would greatly appreciated. |

dont think much of their diagnosis!
you need to start off with testing at the lamp connectors to see if you have 12 volts there, could be anything from faulty fuses to a duff relay |

i'd start by testing the bulbs, and then work back down the wiring system from there. |
