Hi,
My boiler is indicator/diagnostic (blue) lamp is flashing.
No regular pattern, neither slow nor fast just flashing regularly
Reset doesn't cure it.
Then it seems to settle down (after 5 minutes or so) & start working for a few hours.
This boiler has been troublesome from the start (installed about 2 years ago)
It required monthly resets, during the winter months, to clear flashing lights.
However after 5 visits from WB without fix and stone walls from the installer have just got used to it.
This problem is different - it seems to recover now.
I'll ring local firm boiler firm on monday to arrange a visit.
However any opinions in advance as to what it might be would be gratefully received. |

Try seeing if one of the threads on blocked condensate pipes can shed anty light on your problem. |

Thanks
I've spent some time with hot water & hair dryer.
I can see the condensate running into soakaway now.
However it worked for about an hour then the flashing returned.
The condensate run is actually quite close to the ground and horizontal.
I had lagged it after it was installed - 'cos the installer hadn't!
Will it freeze up this quickly? I'd assumed the freeze happens overnight when it's all off and just lying there.
If I turn it all off for about 30 mins and back on it seems to work for a while.
Actually it seems to work even when flashing, the green ignition light still comes on and off as normal.
Any further suggestions please?
I can imagine the queue for a visit will be quite long when i call on monday.
After all it's not as if we're without heating.
Thanks. |
