Im trying to source either a program or charts that works out pipe sizes and pump sizes for more commercial central heating systems or. Does anybody know where i can find any info on this. I've found a little bit of info on domestic pump and pipe sizing at www.gasheating.co.uk/pipesizing.html but im not sure how reliable this info is.

well yeah ive been down that route and is ok if you know how many m3 / h flow rate you have. Which i don't . I could do with going right back to basics by working out what flow rate i need to heat lets say 80kW of heating load. Then take pipe sizing and lengths into account etc. I was wondering if there was a program out there to help work this all out.
thanks.

Sounds like what you need is some basic plumbing education!
It's all covered in standard textbooks for the basic courses like NVQ2.
Probably best you get yourself one. Treloar covered it iirc.

Flow rate in litres/second is obviously kW/(4.185 x temp rise)
