i have just bought an item from america and the colours of the wires in the mains lead are black, green and white. how do these correspond to a british plug fittings of earth, neutral and live.

The colours are:
Black = Live
White = Neutral
Green = Earth
BE AWARE that some US eqipment is 110V and some 230V and that their frequency is 60Hz (different to our 50Hz 230V supply) and may need to be adjusted or adapted to work and not plug straight in!! |
