I have had new turf laid and its clear the person who has done it has a joker, they have left gaps of between 1-2cm at points.

After just over a week there are weeds coming through the gaps.

How can i get rid of them and prevent them from coming back?

Many thanks

If the weeds are annuals pull them up, if they are deep rooted peranials, you might be better to lift the turf & dig them out properly (the turf will probably not rooted yet).
Have you asked the 'gardener' to come back?
edit
its easy to fill the gaps, buy a bag of top soil & a bag of lawn seed,

Asking the gardener to come back is not an option :(

Is there any weed killer I can use yet? After digging them up of course.

Thanks

If they are annuals, you wont need weed killer.
If they are perenials get a contact spot weedkiller, you apply to the leaves, you wont damage the grass then, new turfs should not be treated with weedkiller
