I'm in the process of replacing the bearings on my Hotpoint WM76P. I had no problems last time I did this, but now, having removed the drum, I found the front bearing has seized to the shaft. I've managed to knock off the ball-race so all that's left is the inner bit. How do I remove it? Please help!

i wouldnt bother, get a new spider instead.

when i worked for hp when changing bearings i was taught to always change the spider too

mind you if you really want to waste time*, could you not cut off what is left?

* the old spider will soon wear the rubber seal out, that is probably why you are doing it again
