I have a monoblock kitchen tap; swan neck with a directable nozzle. The tap is chrome and make is unknown. My question is where may I obtain a backnut for the tap? It is rusty and has \\\"blown\\\". I have tried many local plumbers merchants to no avail.

Please help!

Hi Kevplumb,

Think I may have used the incorrect terminology in my original posting. It's not a back nut I'm after but a horseshoe shaped washer.

Hope I got it right this time.

Ask a local plumber as we are taking out taps only 2 years old all the time as they are all crapppo, I am sure someone will have a second hand one lying around somewhere, I'd charge you about £25.00 for one to cover all my running costs to be a plumber/gas fitter. Dont forget I have to have a waste carriers licence to have it in my van.
Other than that email the maker of your tap.
